December 1, 2023, Alaska Wind Working Group Meeting

The December 1, 2023, Alaska Wind Working Group meeting featured presentations on ANTHC’s wind projects in Toksook Bay, Chevak, Hooper Bay, and Kotzebue and on joint ACEP and Sandia Labs work to optimize the existing power system in St. Mary’s. The meeting also included updates on federal and state funding programs and activities and on renewable energy policy including state Green Bank and Renewable Portfolio Standard legislation, the federal Solar for All program, pending community solar legislation, transmission upgrades, the state Renewable Energy Fund (REF), the Emerging Energy Technology Fund (EETF), Chugach Electric Association’s general rate case, and updates from the Railbelt Reliability Council (RRC).
