Our volunteers and interns play an essential role in our efforts to educate and engage people all over the state. We are always on the lookout for dynamic and dedicated people who want to be a part of our team. Volunteers are a critical component to our success.

Please contact us to volunteer and indicate which skills or tasks you’d like to offer.

Volunteer Opportunities

Helping Hands

Our organization regularly holds house party fundraisers across the state and appreciates help with those activities.

We also gather a handful of volunteers each year in November to handwrite names and addresses for our annual fundraising letter.

Administrative Volunteers

Administrative volunteers gain a broad perspective of our current projects and priorities by  engaging with staff on a variety of organizational operations including:

  • Office operations
  • Database management
  • Phone banking
  • Letter writing
  • Fundraising

Media Volunteers

Media volunteers help shape our digital footprint to reach people across Alaska. Duties may include:

  • Photo and video editing
  • Collecting and sharing energy stories
  • Creating social media updates
  • Website maintenance

Student Internships

We occasionally bring on student interns throughout the year, offering valuable work experience. Our internships are unpaid. If accepted, a student must be able to support themselves through a stipend offered by their college, a part-time job, or other means.
