RE+ Alaska will bring together clean energy professionals to discuss real-world solutions helping to spur electrification for tribal and rural communities. With a focus on the people and projects accelerating Alaska’s energy transition, tribal funding opportunities, and emerging technologies, this event seeks to bring Indigenous knowledge, innovation, and renewable energy solutions together to create a brighter, more sustainable future.
REAP’s new Executive Director, Cady Lister, will be one of the featured speakers during the General Session panel titled, “Railbelt Renaissance: Charting a Course for Decarbonization in Alaska”
The event will also include presentations from the Alliance for Tribal Clean Energy, the Municipality of Anchorage, the Alaska Municipal League, Sustainable Energy Galena Alaska, the Native Village of Kotzebue, Chugach Electric Association and many more.
REAP is excited to bring members of the current cohort of communities from the Energy Technology Initiatives Partnership Project (ETIPP) to the RE+ event prior to a two-day regional meeting for ETIPP that will also include the newly launched Community Microgrid Assistance Partnership (C-MAP). The National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) leads both of those programs and REAP is eager to bring the parties together to share knowledge on how best to deploy new technology across the state.
