You are invited to participate in a Virtual Science Fair!
With the pandemic cancelling many events, including science fairs, REAP has teamed up with with Alaska Resource Education (ARE) to hold a Natural Resources Science Fair for K-12 students:
- The focus of this virtual Science Fair is on Energy & Natural Resources, so anything related to those topics will be accepted.
- The final virtual presentations will be on April 28th and 29th, and winners announced with prizes awarded on April 30th.
- We will be meeting every Friday at 2pm to help guide the process and get updates from those who are participating.
- The first check in is next Friday, April 10th via Zoom and we expect the topic to have been picked by each student, as well as a developed question and hypothesis. If a student can’t make the Zoom meeting, they (or their parent) can also email topics to one of the organizers (including Colleen Fisk).
- Prizes are awarded for each age category: K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.
- Download the presentation from our introductory session here.
- Learn more, including signing up, links to potential topics, how we are going to judge the projects, and links to Zoom meetings here.
